Geoff Glasrud Vice President and Manufacturing Manager
Born and raised in Pine Bend’s backyard
Geoff grew up down the road from Pine Bend on a farm in rural Hastings, Minnesota. In fact, he could see the refinery over the horizon right from his back porch. Today, Geoff oversees all activity at Pine Bend as its vice president and manufacturing manager.
After earning a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota, Geoff joined the refinery team in 1995 and has held a number of positions with the company, most recently as manufacturing manager. During his tenure, Pine Bend has lowered emissions of criteria air pollutants by approximately 69 percent, while increasing production to help meet demand.
The refinery also has reduced total on-site emissions in 11 of the last 15 years, and its emissions per barrel are approximately 19 percent lower than other U.S. refineries.
Flint Hills is proud of Geoff’s leadership in helping Pine Bend become one of the safest, cleanest, and most efficient refineries operating in the United States.
